Family Involvement

We believe that parents are a child's greatest resource to finding success in school.  For this reason, we work to empower parents as they take part in their children's education.  When students enter Project Purpose, their parents are brought into the conversation and asked to share their hopes for their children.  The staff and volunteers of Project Purpose work to support parents as they think about their children's future.

Throughout the school year, parents are encouraged to continue the conversation surrounding their children's education.  Parents are provided with the supports needed to navigate their children's education.  We accompany parents to parent-teacher conferences, talk with parents about their children's educational options, and help parents understand the educational language used by their children's school.

Our volunteers and staff see the physical and spiritual needs of the familiest served by Project Purpose.  We build relationships with students' families because we desire to share with them God's hope and truth.

"But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." -1 John 3 17 & 18

We have a deep love for the families served by Project Purpose, a love that flows from our God.  As we get to know our students, we take small steps to get to know their families.  We hope to be a source of support and comfort during times of need.  We hope to be a voice that tells them that God has a plan for their children.  We hope to tell them of God's unending love for their family.
